Tutorials: 5600 Beginning Homiletics. (1) Students here are given a general introduction to homiletics as an art form. This course is based upon the brilliant work of homiletician and scholar, Henry Mitchell of Atlanta, Ga. 5601 Intermediate Homiletics. (1) This course takes the students further into the background and history of the preaching tradition in the African American experience. Audio/Video Courses: 5602 Preaching in the New Millennium I. (1.5) Based on his book, Everything You Need to Know to Preach Like a Pro, Dr. Wise uses this course to take preachers from the fundamentals to the finer points on the art of preaching. 5603 Preaching in the New Millennium II. (1.5) Based on his book, Everything You Need to Know to Preach Like a Pro, Dr. Wise uses this course to take preachers from the fundamentals to the finer points on the art of preaching. 5604 Preacher’s Workshop. (3) Dr. Wise will teach a monthly preaching class for students who desire to improve their preaching skills. Each student will be given opportunities to preach in class and to be coached along by Dr. Wise. 5605 The Soul Doctor. (3) Dr. Wise offers this insightful and ground breaking course on How to Operate on the Human Heart with the Word of God to anyone who handles the word. He defines what a Soul Doctor is and then how they use the various parts of the spiritual anatomy to heal people with the preaching, teaching and presenting of the word of God. 5606 Preparing for the Pastoral Ministry. (3) This course has been created by Dr. Wise to preapare ministers for the practical functions of the pastorate. He goes into great detail and great length to teach interested ministers how to baptize, perform weddings and funerals, give an altar call, recieve an offering, benedictions.
